would probably sound more like the lead singer's voice with True
Gospel ... Derek Massengill. Strong and commanding but gentle,
kind and powerful ... full of compassion! And so is the sound and
demeanor of True Gospel ... "a heavenly bluegrass gospel group".

Gospel is a southern gospel group consisting of three members. On
lead vocals, Derek Massengill, on baritone vocals, Derek’s Brother,
Matthew Massengill, and singing tenor vocals, Brian Daniels. We
consider it an honor to sing about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ
and have had the privilege of sharing the stage with such groups as
the Primitive Quartet and the Isaacs. We are truly grateful for all
the opportunities the Lord as blessed us with and we hope to sing
for you somewhere down the road.

Individual Biographies
Brian Massengill
Brian was born May 7th of 1986. He provides the Tenor vocals for
TRUE GOSPEL. He accepted the Lord at the tender age of 6 years old.
His musical Influences include that of the McKamey’s, the Perry’s, &
The Primitive Quartet.
Derek Massengill
Derek’s birthday is on November the 13 1977. Derek is the lead
vocalist for TRUE GOSPEL, he proclaimed the Lord as his personal
Savior at the age of 11. His Influences include the Singing Cooke’s,
the McKamey’s, & the Kingdom Heirs
Matthew Massengill
Matthew was born on October 12th in 1982. He provides TRUE GOSPEL
with baritone vocals, he Received Christ when he was 11 years old.
His Influences include the Crabb Family, the Spencer’s, & the
Singing Payne’s
